报告摘要

Coleman and Oort have conjectured that   the set of isomorphism classes of smooth projective curves admitting   CM Jacobians should be finite when the curve is of sufficiently high genus.   Using tools from Arakelov geometry and automorphic representations, we show   that many CM abelian varieties do not arise as Jacobians of curves, which   partially supports the observation of Coleman and Oort. This is joint work   with Kang Zuo and Xin Lv.
